The Arthur J. and Lee R. Glatfelter Foundation continues the legacy of Art Glatfelter by supporting countless YMCA projects in York County through grants that go towards our most pressing and urgent needs.
Started and still run by the Scott family, the Dyer Company was the YMCA of the Roses’ matching sponsor during the 2022 ExtraGive in Lancaster. It’s leadership are some of our most loyal members who go above and beyond to ensure the YMCA’s mission continues in our community.
Not only is Fulton Bank the YMCA of the Roses’ financial institution, it is also one of our strongest supporters through contributions towards our community development work, youth programs, special events, and more!
Eugene and Bernadette Gardner
Eugene and Bernadette stepped up to support the Lancaster Family YMCA as it raised funds to stabilize its financial situation prior to the merger with the YMCA of York and York County to become the YMCA of the Roses.
As a force for philanthropy in York County, Glatfelter Insurance Group supports countless local causes, including the YMCA of the Roses. Staff from this organization also regularly serve on our Board of Directors.
The Graham Capital Company is continuing Donald Graham’s legacy of philanthropy by contributing to the YMCA’s youth programs across the association and aquatics work at the Graham Aquatic Center in York City.

The Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster has been a long-time supporter of Lancaster’s YMCA, recently being one of the largest contributors during the Without the Y campaign in 2020.
The Parkinson’s Foundation recently awarded the YMCA of the Roses a significant grant to expand its programs that empower individuals with Parkinson’s disease through exercise regimens centered around boxing, cycling, aquatics, and more.
PeoplesBank makes significant contributions towards the YMCA’s youth programs and community development work every year, while ensuring that our special events raise the funds needed to continue life-changing wellness work.
Richard and Ann Barshinger Family Foundation
In 2022, the Richard and Ann Barshinger Family Foundation made a significant grant to expand our Youth Development work in Lancaster County, which is leveraging the Temple Guard Drill Team, cutting-edge curriculums, and community partnerships to maximize its impact on the area’s young people.
Rutter’s, a York County institution, supports the YMCA of the Roses’ kiddos by making contributions through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.
