The Arthur J. and Lee R. Glatfelter Foundation

The Arthur J. and Lee R. Glatfelter Foundation continues the legacy of Art Glatfelter by supporting countless YMCA projects in York County through grants that go towards our most pressing and urgent needs.

Started and still run by the Scott family, the Dyer Company was the YMCA of the Roses’ matching sponsor during the 2022 ExtraGive in Lancaster. It’s leadership are some of our most loyal members who go above and beyond to ensure the YMCA’s mission continues in our community.

Not only is Fulton Bank the YMCA of the Roses’ financial institution, it is also one of our strongest supporters through contributions towards our community development work, youth programs, special events, and more!

Eugene and Bernadette Gardner

Eugene and Bernadette stepped up to support the Lancaster Family YMCA as it raised funds to stabilize its financial situation prior to the merger with the YMCA of York and York County to become the YMCA of the Roses.

As a force for philanthropy in York County, Glatfelter Insurance Group supports countless local causes, including the YMCA of the Roses. Staff from this organization also regularly serve on our Board of Directors.

The Graham Capital Company is continuing Donald Graham’s legacy of philanthropy by contributing to the YMCA’s youth programs across the association and aquatics work at the Graham Aquatic Center in York City.

Hanover Auto Team is one of the strongest supporters for our free program for cancer survivors, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, and has recently stepped up to serve as volunteer leadership within the organization.

John and Brenda Kirkenir

This couple stands alongside the YMCA by, not only supporting key staff, but also by contributing towards areas of greatest need.

M&T Bank supports the YMCA of the Roses’ work by making contributions towards its youth programs, community development work, special events, and large-scale capital projects, while leveraging tax credits to maximize its impact.

The Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster has been a long-time supporter of Lancaster’s YMCA, recently being one of the largest contributors during the Without the Y campaign in 2020.

The Parkinson’s Foundation recently awarded the YMCA of the Roses a significant grant to expand its programs that empower individuals with Parkinson’s disease through exercise regimens centered around boxing, cycling, aquatics, and more.

PeoplesBank makes significant contributions towards the YMCA’s youth programs and community development work every year, while ensuring that our special events raise the funds needed to continue life-changing wellness work.

PNC

In addition to supporting the YMCA’s youths through Educational Improvement Tax Credit contributions, PNC recently awarded a grant to further our STEM work in TechRev York, giving local York City residents chances to further their careers through workforce development programs.

Richard and Ann Barshinger Family Foundation

In 2022, the Richard and Ann Barshinger Family Foundation made a significant grant to expand our Youth Development work in Lancaster County, which is leveraging the Temple Guard Drill Team, cutting-edge curriculums, and community partnerships to maximize its impact on the area’s young people.

RKL

RKL supports the YMCA of the Roses through its professional services and contributions throughout the year, including event sponsorships and donations towards major projects.

Rutter’s, a York County institution, supports the YMCA of the Roses’ kiddos by making contributions through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.

James and Sally Saxton

The Saxtons stepped up to support the Lancaster Family YMCA as it raised funds to stabilize its financial situation prior to the merger with the YMCA of York and York County to become the YMCA of the Roses.

Shipley Energy is a longtime supporter of the YMCA and our community. Providing energy throughout York and Lancaster counties, the Shipley Energy team is at its best when serving others and meeting our communities’ needs.

Stewart Companies and its subsidiaries support the YMCA through sponsorships and contributions through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program, while also giving its employees opportunities to serve on various YMCA committees and boards.

As the namesake of our branch in Shrewsbury, The W. Dale Brougher Foundation contributes funds wherever they are most needed, including community programming, capital projects, and new initiatives, such as our STEM Center in TechRev York.

The York County Community Foundation supports a wide range of YMCA initiatives, including youth programs at our STEM center in TechRev York and Men’s Residence above our York Branch YMCA, in addition to funding our plans to further develop the Penn Street corridor in York City.
