Join us at designated branches for homeschool gym and swim classes. Currently offered at the W. Dale Brougher Foundation (Shrewsbury) and York Branches. Registration is required monthly! Sibling Discount: First two children are normal rates, any sibling after will be half price.

The YMCA is offering an opportunity for home school students to participate in a swim class
to earn physical education credits. This program is for home school students who have
knowledge of freestyle and backstroke, ages 6–18. We teach swimmers from beginner to
advanced. The instructor is not in the water for these classes.

The gym class will focus on different sports, games, and other physical activities led by a qualified instructor. Some of the choices offered, but not limited to, are basketball, soccer, gaga ball, and dodgeball.

The YMCA of the Roses offers an opportunity for homeschool students to participate in a swim class to earn physical education credits. This program is for homeschool students who have knowledge of freestyle and backstroke, ages 7–18. We teach swimmers from beginner to advanced. Each session runs for four weeks. The instructor is not in the water for these classes.

Join us in the Warm Water Pool for an hour of fun in the pool. Led by Y Staff member Luke Pruitt (past homeschool student) the kids will participate in organized games in the water such as volleyball, basketball, water polo, and others. This class is designed to allow the kids to have fun in the pool in a safe and exciting way. Each participant will be swim tested prior to the start of the first class. If you child can’t swim they will be required to wear a lifejacket.
