2026 Summer Camp Information

Summer day camp provides youth with an opportunity to enjoy summer outdoors with friends.  At YMCA camp, we focus on building a sense of achievement – trying new things, building relationships and a community where everyone belongs.

Please note that 5 year old’s must have completed Kindergarten as of the end of the 2025-2026 school year to participate in Camp Discovery, Camp Friendship, Camp Forge, Camp Spirit, Camp STEAM or Camp Unity.

We look forward to seeing your child at camp this summer!

Camp Friendship

Lampeter Strasburg Branch

Join us for another summer at our Lampeter-Strasburg Camp Friendship. Our summer camp will run for 10 weeks of fun in the sun for campers age 5 (who have completed kindergarten) up through age 13. Campers will participate in a host of activities such as: swimming, arts and crafts, sports, field trips, team building games, and so much more!

If the program asks you to pay for the whole summer at the time of registration, please call the YMCA to register for camp. We will be able to schedule the payments to come out weekly throughout the summer. 

Prices are as follows:
Registration/Activity Fee- $75
Member- $200/week
Non-Member- $250/week
Registration will open on February 1st, and each week will close the Friday prior to the start of that week.

Camp Friendship - Counselor In Training

This program is designed to train teenagers ages 14-17 who have an interest in being Summer Camp Counselors after they turn 18 years old. This training program will focus on topics such as: Group Control, Enthusiasm, Team Building, Safety, Leadership, Impression, Character and Child Development.

 

Our counselors in training (CITs) will be working with our current counselors to create a safe and positive environment for our campers. During this program, our staff will still be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of your child.

 

**This is NOT a paid position! CITs will need to register weekly just as campers do, but space is limited!

 

Prices are as follows:
– Registration/Activity Fee- $75
– Member- $80/week
– Non-Member- $100/week
Registration will open on February 1st, and each week will close the Friday prior to the start of that week.

Camp Friendship - Part Time

Join us for another summer at our Lampeter-Strasburg Camp Friendship. Our summer camp will run for 10 weeks of fun in the sun for campers age 5 (who have completed kindergarten) up through age 13. The Part-Time option is only available for YMCA members. You must have an active YMCA membership as of May 1st to qualify for part-time.

Part Time campers attend Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You may not pick and choose what 3 days you will attend.

Member- $125/week

Welcome to Camp Unity at the YMCA of the Roses!
    This Summer we are excited to announce that our theme will be Emotions at Work! This summer our campers will learn the ins and outs of their emotions and ways to work with them. In addition, we will partake in field trips that will support our weekly themes and our understandings of emotions. Our Summer day camp provides youth with an opportunity to enjoy summer with friends! At YMCA Camp Unity, we focus on building a sense of achievement through trying new things, building relationships, and providing a community where everyone belongs.
Important Information!
  • Camp runs June 1st, 2026, until August 7th, 2026.
  • Hours will be from 7:00am – 5:30pm, Monday through Friday
  • Due to the holidays, we will be closed June 19th, 2026 and July 3rd, 2026
  • If you are using ELRC please reach out to the Welcome Desk or Elise Sprenkle for easy registration
