SWIM BAND LEVELS

All children will receive the Swim Band color on file in our computer. If there is no band on file, a red band will be issued, and the child will need to take a new swim test.

OUTDOOR POOL RULES

  • All children with a red band must have a parent within arm’s reach while in the pool area.
  • All youth ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an Adult (age 18+) during facility usage & must have a swim band. There will be no exceptions to this policy.
  • The YMCA of the Roses is an alcohol, tobacco/vaping-free for all employees, members, vendors and visitors. Violations will be documented and subject to disciplinary actions.
  • No glass containers, No outside umbrellas, metal framed tents or pop-ups.
  • Swimsuits are mandatory NO cut-offs, regular shorts or basketball shorts NO sports bras, t-shirts or muscle shirts All swimsuits MUST have a lining NO socks in the pool
  • NO MERMAID TAILS
  • Members/Guests must abide by the YMCA Code of Conduct along with rules already posted.
  • YMCA Membership must be in good standing the entire pool season if paying the member rate. If membership is canceled prior to last day of season, prorated nonmember rates will apply to remaining time. Outstanding balances at the YMCA will affect usage of the Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA.
  • All members and guests 18 & older must present a valid photo ID upon initial registration.
  • On days with excessive heat, Pool Membership holders will be given priority to access our facility.

Thunderstorm Policy

Pools will be closed by the Lifeguards at the first sight or sound of lightning or thunder. This includes the areas inside the fence and the pool deck on the indoor pool.

Pools closure is for the safety of members and staff and is done with enough time for members, guests, and staff to go to a safe place.

Pool will remain closed until:
A: 30 minutes after the last sight or sound of thunder/lightning, and it is safe to reopen

B: Closed for the day :
-If forecasts indicate little chance of reopening or if storms continue past 5pm for outdoor pools (3pm School nights). Indoor pool will close for the night if storms continue past 6pm.

Failure to leave the pool area as instructed by Lifeguards can result in loss of membership or being banned from the pool.
