The YMCA of the Roses has amazing events for people of all ages and backgrounds across York and Lancaster Counties!

BHY Membership Social
The Bob Hoffman Dover YMCA staff would like to invite ALL members for a time of gathering to catch up with other members/staff, make new friendships, or maybe even gain an accountability partner for your 2024 goals! These events will run from 10:30AM to 12:30PM! No need to stay the whole time, feel free to come and go as you please.
These events will be potluck style but we (BHY) will provide the main dish (soups and/or sandwiches) and just ask that each member bring a dish to share! This event is FREE for all members of all ages but we do ask that you sign up so we can ensure we have enough food for all who attend.
We look forward to this time of connection!

Healthy Kids Day
Healthy Kids Day at the City Center YMCA
Join us for our Healthy Kids Day and help us to celebrate what it means to be a kid while connecting families with local resources!
Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 9am-12pm
Please register ahead of time to speed up your entry into the event! All adults (18+) will be asked to present photo ID at entry unless they already have ID on file with our organization.
Just some of the fun planned for the day:
- Dodgeball
- Family Fun Fitness
- Arts & Crafts
- Food
- Games
- Community
We will also be collecting donations for single mothers and children to benefit Clare House families. Please consider donating clean & gently used baby items, maternity clothes, children’s clothes, shoes, toys, etc.
We will also be offering Pre-Summer Swim Testing for members and Camp Unity 2024 summer camp participants. You must pre-register here to participate in swim testing.

Pre-Summer Swim Testing
Pre-Summer Swim Testing!
Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 12-1pm following our Healthy Kids Day celebration!
We will have lifeguards available to swim test your kids so you can go into the summer ready for fun!
Swim testing is required for kids 12 and under before they are able to swim in our pools. They will be assigned colored-bands upon completion of their test to reflect their swimming level. For details on the different levels, please see this document: Swim Bands.
Pre-summer swim testing will only be available for current members and Camp Unity 2024 summer camp participants. You must pre-register, no walk-ins will be permitted.
Please bring a swimsuit and towel.
